Autophagy Explained

Autophagy means "self-eating" and is a biological process that cleans up damaged and diseased cells and organelles, thus contributing to the maintenance of cellular foryese, function, and health.

The activity of autophagy decreases with age, which is linked to loss of cellular efficiency and tissue homeostasis.

In skeletal muscle, autophagy has a role in protein metabolism and muscle cell state, and improved autophagy with optimization of diet and exercise can delay aging-related changes.

The diet and exercise methods used in AgeAthletic Bioadapt have been developed specifically to promote autophagy.
